the Iguazu, as viewed from the Argentina’s side
09 to 11 January 2005
Puerto Iguazu brought us closer to the water sprays of the Iguazu Falls.
But once we were back in town, we were sweating buckles again.

It was sensory overload in Parque Nacional Iguazu.
My close up sketch of the falls. It was drawn on spot.
I read a book. Life of Pi.
this giant waterfall was hotter than we thought
03 to 08 January 2005Foz do Iguacu is a hot place. Not that it’s hot because
of the incredible must-see Iguazu Falls. It’s because it’s hot. Really hot. Really
super humid hot. Sweaty. Even the McDonald’s here is built like a greenhouse, without aircon.

We parted with Ronan, Haru and Hillary back in Campo Grande.
Ronan and Hillary left for Belem. Haru for Rio. And us to Foz do Iguacu.
My sketch of the giant falls.
Here’s a sketch of another view.
The map of Foz do Iguacu, Brazil and Puerto Iguazu, Argentina.
The town on the Argentina side was even more humid.
I’m melting away.
paddle, float, snorkel and water volley ball
01 to 02 January 2005
We had fun with three other travellers. They were Hillary, Ronan and Haru.
We met in Pantanal, fed mosquitoes, and travelled to Bonito together. In Bonito,
we took a short day trip to Rio Sucuri, where we paddled a boat up river, then floated down in our wet suit, snorkel and life vest. And spotted large fishes in
the cold, crystal clear water.

Here’s my sketch of Haru, Ronan and Hillary. And Ling and myself.
