i would love to climb in bergen but instead went train-hopping to lund

With more than 8000 climbing routes in Bergen, as according to a climbing shop owner, it would have been paradise to have made this the base for an extended climbing trip.

Took a really long walk in Bergen today.

We stayed in STF Youth Hostel Taget in Lund. As the name implies,
it’s a train that has been converted into a hostel. It even has a kitchen. That’s why we did lots of cooking in Lund.

something to scream about in oslo

06 to 09 September 2004

Wanted to visit the Munch Museum in Oslo. But we only discovered it was closed for renovation after travelling there by public transport. Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!

There are a few things that I faithfully put into my travelogues.
And one of them is postage rates. You can see these two Norwegian stamps above. And it cost 10.50Nkr (which is S$2.64) to mail a postcard home. That’s really expensive.

a double bed, a television, a desk, a fan and a heater, all in a tiny room

I think, so far, the room we had in Stockholm was the tiniest. A double bed fits squarely into the width of the room.
